We brought this down to Mexico from the US around the beginning of the year. It has been serving me just fine since then. Part of the reason for changing to an inflatable board was the safety factor.
In the SoC there are or can be strong winds at night and handling the bigger hard board was a problem to put it on deck from the surf racks on the rail. This inflatable can be simply deflated if need be or put on deck without getting hurt.
