La Paz to Puerto Balandra - 2023

We spent a couple days here. We had 20 knots on the nose apparent and some spray in the cockpit, but it was still a comfortable couple hour passage. A bit rollie in the anchorage but we have our flopper stopper out. Water is great, clear and refreshing. Nice to be off the dock. It calmed down and tomorrow was nicer.
November 2023 - Chip & Debbie 💑 Currently in Marina Costa Baja in La Paz, Mexico
We will head back Wednesday as there is a blow coming on Thursday, it is predicted. Water temp is 85.1 deg F or 27.5 deg C and we're anchored in 15 ft of water or 2.5 fathoms. Air temperature is 82.3 deg or 27.9 c. There are 2 cats two MV and us. It is quiet and quite nice.
We spent two days and two nights anchored at Puerto Balandra. The second day was beautiful and there was some coming and going of boats in the afternoon. It was quite enjoyable. We were the only boat there the second night.
This was a shake down cruising for us to test out our batteries, solar charging as our batteries have been bubbling over a bit. The batteries seem fine and between the wind generator and our solar we had plenty of power. It was all good news. However, we still need to find the bubbling over issue. We have wet cells. Yes, old school. Our electronics are working fine enough, and our motor is running great etc, we think we are ready for the big time again for the season. All other systems are fine.
