In Playa La Ropa the norm is to stern anchor so we did not disappoint.
We did need to reset the stern anchor (our Fortress FX-16 with 6 plat rode and about 8' chain) a few times and still got it too far to the port side. That meant at night when the wind shifted we were a bit towards the beam on the swell making it more rolly than need be.When we hauled the stern anchor Debbie hauled in the rode as I let out the rode at the bow until we were on top of the stern anchor and pulled it up as it broke free. To set the stern anchor we used our Achilles LSI-310E dinghy.
After the anchoring I took a well deserved swim!😁
