Our T
SERIES WASTE DISCHARGE PUMP, 12V DC has two duck bills in it. One for waste into the pump and one for waste out. Before, I would replace them when they went bad, a messy job then😞. This time I replaced them on a maintenancee schedule and it was NOT messy. See you can teach an old man new things😀
We are currently cruising our Islander Freeport 36 sailboat in Mexico. We have been extensively documenting our outfitting for this adventure. Also, what works and what is not of value.
Six "D" cone zincs purchased from the Todo Vela Chandlery - 2019
As mentioned in another post the Todo Vela Chandlery is going out of business. We decided to drive to La
Cruz (opposite side of Banderas Bay from Puerto Vallarta) so it is out there.
Todo Vela is going out of business, we purchased varnish - 2019
Yes the Todo Vela Chandlery is going out of business. Not because of the extra high prices but because they want to retire and have health reasons. We decided to drive over to La Cruz and pick up a couple cans of Z Spar Flagship Varnish - 2015 Gloss varnish because the other two chandleries in Puerto Vallarta did not have any.
Stateroom varnishing of the bed area - Part 4 of 4 - 2019
Settee and Salon curtains washed and reinstalled - 2019
There are 8 big windows and 8 curtains to clean. So there are two to each window so that makes, yep 16! During the summer months to help keep the boat cool and not have the AC working too hard, we cover some of the windows with insulation especially if we are not going to be onboard.
We give our refer some love while we are off the boat - 2019
While house sitting at an El Tigre golf course condo by our boat at Paradise Village Marina, we had a chance to turn off the refer for two and a half weeks. That meant some cleaning, defrosting etc was made a bit easier because there is no food in it.
Window A/C unit working good at keeping the boat dehumidified - 2019
Our Mirage 5000 btu window A/C unit is keeping the boat at about 52% humidity and about 76 degrees F. That is perfect for our boat. Keeps any moisture from creating mold or mildew.
Screw holes plugged in the teak helm seat chair arms - 2019
Here I am making the holes the right size for the plugs. It may be they used an impact driver to put the screws in and the hole was not drilled for 3\8" teak plugs. I used an exacto knife to dig out the hole so the plugs would fit better.
