Sailing from Zihuatanejo to Papanoa (Morro de Papanoa) to anchor - 2015

Beginning of January 2015 Papanoa (Morro de Papanoa)
Anchoring more over by the cement pier may save some rolling from the wave reflating into the bay.

Morro de Papanoa.is about 40 nm south of Zihuatanejo .
We had a nice little passage to Papanoa. We had to motor sail but it was a nice restful day on the sea. We made water (about 50 gal at 8 gal hour) and I got some guitar playing in. We anchored in about 12 ft of water by the cement pier. We may leave tonight a 2 AM or tomorrow night at 2 AM arriving in Acapulco in the afternoon.

This picture we got from Pat Rains Mexico Boating Guide. We like this guide better than the Pacific Cruisers Guide for south of Zihuatanejo because they have been here where as Shawn Breeding and Heather Bansmer have never been south of Zihuatanejo and write little of things south.
A motor sailing :)
Our Rainsong guitar.
Autopilots are great.
Gotta love it!
Approaching Morro de Papanoa.
Red light on the break water.
Debbie's cloud picture for our daughter Lindsey (along the way to Morro de Papanoa.).
Here is the tower with the red navigation light - we have yet
to see the green one working!
Cement pier just inside to starboard.
Of course at least a few mooring balls.
