Garmin autopilot CCU (flux gate compass) installed and wires run

Just ordered a CCU to ECU extension cable from Shelter Island Marine Electronics.
Yesterday we had to get a 33’ extension data cable from the CCU to the NMEA 2000 network. Still need to add the "T" to the NMEA 2000 network and the data cable connection.
This should finally take care of the CCU (flux gate compass) to ECU (brain) setup and the GHC 10 (display).

This hole is from behind the nav station to under the nav station.

First we had to drill a series of new holes for the auto pilot CCU wires and future wires to run through.

This new hole on the bottom goes from under the nav station to the settee.

Then we drilled one from settee to the cabinet with the door open.

The CCU wiring harness we made up is on the settee fold out. The settee makes a double bed.

Then we drilled one from the inside of the cabinet to the bilge on both sides of the rib.
Later when this is all over (probably after the water maker is installed) we will add a false floor to this cabinet. It needs one regardless to make it more functional.

Don with hole making.

We ran the wires from the Garmin CCU to the cockpit. We need one more extension and that is on order.

We mounted the CCU (flux gate compass) in the bilge, up dry and close to the center of the boat and forward of the mast bay a couple ribs.

While we were there we finished off the plumbing to the wash down pump but for staking down the black hose at the valve and made some final adjustments to the shower sump. The shower sump hoses still need to be staked down.

We need to connect the yellow wire to the GHC 10 display.
A couple wires to the alarm.
One wire to the ECU, the brain.

That wire and the brain we will leave to Shelter Island Marine Electronics to install with the drive unit.
We are doing all the grunt work and they will do the part that got to be correct :)
