There were some places like this where the gelcoat was chipped right off
and then the area had cracks where more was going to chip out.
February 2018 - Currently in Marina Vallarta, Banderas Bay Mexico (Puerto Vallarta Jalisco)
They removed the bad gelcoat in the area (cracked\chipped)
and put what looked like bondo in the area to fill it.
All done, looking good!
There were about 26 spots and then about six more we found.
Spots to repair.
In the process of repairing.
Done!
On the starboard side, I had cut a channel for the water to drain
from the track so I wanted the same thing on the port side.
Here's the channel cut and coated, waiting for the top coat.
They look the same so we all do good work!
And done!
Before
After!
So you get the idea. The deck in general looks good now and possibly sometime in the near future we will paint the inside of the gunnels up forward to the scuppers by the deck step. They could use it and the price is right.Well heck the whole boat would look great painted but that may never come or at least not for some years yet.
