It was Harbor Freight time in San Diego CA - 2107

Yes, we needed a couple of inexpensive tools so we went to Harbor Freight in Chula Vista after the Chula Vista Marine Swap Meet.

November 2017 - Tied up in Marina Mazatlán, Mexico
We are currently house sitting in University Heights, San Diego CA

Note:
I broke that Harbor Freight rivet gun right away. Have had to borrow one since.

First we needed a "rivet gun" to add two brackets to the kayak, The brackets will enable us to attach the seat in back more solidly than now. Now we attach the back of the seat to the strap that runs across the back of the kayak;it is a bit sloppy. So four rivets, two for each bracket and the rivet gun is done. No sense spending lots for the rivet gun.
Putting in the rivets with a rivet gun we borrowed while in Puerto Vallatra, Mexico.
Trimming off the rivets with the Drummel. We need to add two more brackets like these.
Next we got a 3\8 ratchet for the metric socket tools we have in a pouch. When we go to use the metric wrenches\sockets we always seem to have to rip out the SAE  pouch and steal the 3\8 ratchet from there. It is a pain. So an inexpensive  3\8 ratchet in this case and a composite one so it will not short things out etc.
Also we purchased a "Receptacle Tester" to use at dock boxes in marinas. We have a pig-tale that we can plug into the 30 amp shore power chord and it has an end like a wall socket at the other end. So with this tester we can test the shore power connection before we plug in. At least that is the idea. Another cruiser recommended this system and to test first. We shall see how it works out? The pig tale we found in a dumpster...it works good.

And yet another part checked off the US buy list for the next cruising season.
