After this video the swells kept building and the rain intensified.
It rained for three days and three nights and on the third day it rained hard, and I am talking really coming down for a good eight hours straight. The storm came out of the South and the anchorage in Chamela Bay has no protection from a south swell, wind etc. We got big rolley swells and some high winds but it was the swells that were concerning at times. They at one point were getting so big I thought the waves might start breaking as they came through the anchorage, they did not.
Another day of rain.
Tried different ways of collecting water.
We got a lot of water.
Trash pick up, two boys for candy or pesos :)
Marcus and Cindy on s/v Rebecca a 37' Tayana (having their trash pickup 😊
Rain, rain.
Swells starting to build.
This is where Debbie had to go into the launched Achilles LSI-310E dingy and release it from the davits as it was filling with water and the water was sloshing around. That is because of the plug issue which we described in previous posts.
Debbie gets ready to go into the dingy and release the Kato Marine Island Davits davit blocks. The swells are a good size now and the boat is pitching making this a bit dangerous.
Done!
