We are currently cruising our Islander Freeport 36 sailboat in Mexico. We have been extensively documenting our outfitting for this adventure. Also, what works and what is not of value.
The day of hip surgery. All ready to go. We had to get there at 5:30 am and the operation was to start at 7:30 am but it was late. No big deal as I am laying there resting. Wanted to get the-show-on-the-road and we did!
Dr. Jaime Hernandez (from Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Van Nuys, CA) is going through the front and only about 10% of the hip surgeries are currently done that way. Makes for a faster recovery and better chances of getting the leg the same length.
