Our first leg will be:
That’s an overnight-er. About 24 hours (91 nm). Getting around Cabo Corrientes safely is the man concern here. It can be quite nasty.
Nuevo Vallarta (Puerto Vallarta 20°40′N 105°16′W) to Chamela bay.
This is what we have planned out but there will most likely be changes due to weather and other factors.
We are leaving today about 2:00 PM and hope to sail around Cabo Corrientes (Cape
of Currents) about 11:00 PM - 2:00 AM.
Some of these legs will be multiple overnights and others will be day sails.
Chamela, which everyone calls the area.
Chamela bay
It is actually Perula Bay and the town of Perula (Punta Pérula). The town of Chamela does not have a good anchorage.

We will anchor in Chamela bay (Bahía de Chamela) - Perula,is a small
fishing village there. Then off from Chamela to Bay of Tenacatita (29 nm)
going inside the Island in Chamela bay .
Bay of Tenacatita is a beautiful anchorage and we will venture across the bay into La Manzanilla.
We have already anchored here in Melaque and it has a beautiful view but we probably will choose the Barra de Navidad Lagoon this time as it is just easier and we are dong a lot of traveling\sailing. This was a stern anchor spot as the swell wraps around. The dinghy landing can be good and can be not so good.
Barra de Navidad is only around the "corner" at 14 nm.

Manzanillo /Manzanillo Las Hadas in the Mexican state of Colima
Then Manzanillo to Caleta de Campos (114 nm).
Caleta de Campos: We have heard this is a beautiful anchorage with a friendly town although we have also heard there has been some security problems so we may or may not stop?
Caleta de Campos to Zihuatanejo (75 nm) .
If we do not stop at Caleta de Campos then were looking at 3-4 days at sea.
Zihuatanejo Anchorage in the Mexican state of Guerrero
Zihuatanejo Anchorage Here there is "Sail Fest" and "Guitar Fest. in the Spring.
Papanoa
Puerto Angel in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico
Punta Galera in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico
Puerto Escondido, in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico.
We will probably stop here for rest. It is a good surf spot so there is a swell for a rolly anchorage. Anchoring is in 70+ feet of water. We will use all of our 300 ft of anchor rode :)
