Went to Marine Exchange the other day and got a few "marine grade PVC valves" to replace the ones from Home Depot. They are below the water line so they really should be marine grade. One is behind a bronze valve so if it is closed it would not be a problem. However, it is for the freshwater rinse on the anchor wash down pump and that bronze valve is open for months at a time so if the HD pvc valve broke it could flood the boat. So, any way we are upgrading our anchor fresh water rinse pvc valve (for putting the boat away for Summer) and on the HAVAC systems, two bleeder valves that are below the water line.
