Galley AC vent - and area by it - got varnished - 2018

This AC duct for our Mermaid Marine Air 12000 btu HVAC unit was supposed to be teak. It just does not look like teak. So before varnishing the area I am applying some Sikkens Cetol Marine Natural Teak to it to see if this will make it more teak-like in color.

It also has a big Thursday market all around the marina. About three times bigger or more than the La Cruz market. It is quiet at night but there are a bunch of restaurants\bars and coffee shops. The whole area is great for morning and evening walks. A short bus ride to old town PV and the embarcadero, pier and romantic zone. Anyway, there are lots of goodies nearby - like walk to the supermarket and good inexpensive chinese food. Though the facilities are bad (so you would use your boat) and no dock carts etc. A good place in the high season.

Some place our Ocean Kayak Malibu Two is leaking. When we bring it back up on the kayak racks the water rushes to the stern and makes it more difficult to bring up onto the racks.

We cleaned the "Mermaid Condensator" strainer screens on our two Mermaid HVAC units. Gotta keep the bilge dry! (Without this, the condensation would go into the bilge!)

We had been deciding what to do about a smart start or slow start ever since San Blas, Nayarit. We decided not to purchase anything yet. Then we started to have some issues with the compresor starting on the Mermaid 12000 btu at Paradise Village Marina. So we decided to go for one of these units.
They are recommended by Coastal Climate Control where we purchased our Frigoboat refer system.
