Our Mermaid 5200 btu unit in our stateroom has not been working because of this valve.
The best we could do in Puerto Vallarta for our marine HVAC system was an overpriced AC guy this last year. Before that it was really hard to find a decent AC person to work on our HVAC system either it be our Mermaid 1200 btu salon system or this Mermaid 5200 btu stateroom system in PV. Now that we are in La Paz we are hoping to fair better. There is a Marine HVAC store here in La Paz so we are hoping it will work out in October when we try for the repair.
Purchased Blue Sea Systems Dual USB Chargers - 2023
Purchased this USB charger to replace a plug that went to a pump that we ended up not using on the cockpit. We then made the plug into two cigarette lighter connections for various items. It is however gangly and seldom used. This is something we will probably use a lot more.

We purchased this for launching and retrieving our Starboard 2017 Atlas EXTRA Starlite 12’0″ x 36″ SUP.
Replacing our galley sink thru hull? 2023
This is our galley thru hull, original our 1978 Islander Freeport 36' sailboat. It is the only one we have not replaced, and we think next bottom job we should replace it. It is flush on the outside of the hull which may complicate it.
Did we stock up on wire ties! - 2023
These wire ties we purchased from Home Depot and got plenty. They have been rather hard to find, good ones and so we stocked up for our trip back to La Paz, Mexico.
Vespa XB-8000 replaced by Vespa - 2023
Our Vespa XB-8000 Class B AIS Transponder with WiFi came.
It is a replacement for our older unit that stopped sending data to our NMEA
2000 Network
. When we removed it for sending it back there was a rattle in it. Not so with the new one. It did cost us a fee for the years old it was but worth it. Vespa is now owned by Garmin.
